Facebook has announced that its total number of active users has reached to 300 million. This was stated on 15th of September, 2009. Not long ago, on 15th July, 09, Facebook officially revealed that it has crossed 250 million monthly active users (MAU) successfully and was pursuing to surpass 300 million MAU by the end of this year.

But Facebook has unbelievably shown tremendous growth has achieved the target quiet earlier. Within 75 days, it gained 50 million more users which means 670, 000 million users a day. What is even more remarkable and inspiring is its “Free Cash Flow Positive” ahead of the schedule. Earlier, the goal was expected to be achieved somewhere in 2010.

This was announced in the company´s blog post by Facebooks CEO Mark Zuckerberg yesterday as:
“We´re also succeeding at building Facebook in a sustainable way. Earlier this year, we said we expected to be cash flow positive sometime in 2010, and I´m pleased to share that we achieved this milestone last quarter. This is important to us because it sets Facebook up to be a strong independent service for the long term”.

For your information, “Free Cash Flow” is the total amount of money for the distribution among all Security holders of a company. If Free Cash Flow is positive, it means that company has earned enough cash for making disbursements to the security holders. If it is negative, it means that Company has not generated enough revenue to pay its security holders.
